How to Create a Facebook Page for Your Business

So you've got yourself a personal Facebook account and now you want to get your company page on Facebook too. There's a ton of websites out there with instructions on how to do this but I'll outline the basics since it's quite simple.

1. Once you're logged into Facebook from your 'Home' page you should some tabs along the left hand side (you might need to click on 'More' underneath Marketplace in order to get them all to show up).
Now, once you've done that, click on 'Ads and Pages'.

2. The next step will bring you to a screen with the following:

You'll need to click on pages at the top (if you're not already there) and then the '+ Create Page' button on the right.

3. The next page will give you some options. You'll want to look at the right-hand side under 'Official Page'. Here is where you need to select between a Brand or a Local Business:

The difference is going to be in the 'Info' tab along the top of your company page. If you choose Brand you get more options for putting in details and info about the company. If you go with Local Business you won't get as many options but you will get the option of putting in your store hours and location. I recommend Brand since you can always put in store hours into one of the info boxes if you need to. Really it's a matter of personal preference.

Next, enter the name of the Company/Brand, check off the box to confirm you're a representative, and click Create Official Page. It may pop up with another verification box but just follow the instructions.

Job done. You've created your first company page!
